IHC Numbers - July
My forms are slowly starting to get back on track, the pace I'm at still feels like work to maintain the consistency (definitely nowhere near 'effortless effort' yet) but it also feels very sustainable, hoping to do a few more weeks of posting my numbers and then I'll see if I can manage on my own again.
My AOK is still technically on track but I am finding some days I am only recording one or two and I'm worried if this requirement will start to stagnate, the trouble is I thought I would have ample opportunities to do AOK since I talk to so many people as part of my job, but I am having a really hard time differentiating from going a little bit out of my way to be extra kind, from what is expected of me in my job (or rather the expectations I set for myself). I always want to do my very best at work so I feel like it's cheating to count some of those interactions. (thinking I need to write a separate blog to investigate these feelings further)

This months update also marks the half-way checkpoint for my personal requirements:
1) 100 Ways to Say Hello: Not doing great with this one, having a hard time making any progress because I feel like my momentum got completely derailed and I have just never been able to get it going again. I have recently adjusted my morning routine to allow for extra time to do pushups so I don't have to do so many in the evening, and I am going to try to work this into my mornings as well so that I can have a consistent opportunity to work on it (since that's what seemed to work well in the first half of the year).
2) Monthly Form Focus: Pretty happy how this one has gone, needs a bit of work but that should come with the extra forms work I've been doing with the standard requirements.
3) Monthly Goal: I am starting to feel the panic start to well up when I think about how behind I am on this one. I think when I initially envisioned this requirement I thought I would have a lot more free time to allocate to working on these goals each month. This was probably left over from having a work from home position, and then being in-between jobs for a while, I forgot how busy things can get, (and having a 2 hour commute each day doesn't really help), combined with attending more kung fu classes than I ever have before, I just don't have a ton of spare time. I don't want to say this as an excuse, but rather as a reality check for myself in the hopes that I can reframe my expectations for these goals in a way where I can still make progress, just shifted slightly to the left.
4) Read 3 Books on Anti-Racism: Second book down! It was very different than the first and I will likely revisit this one in the near future. Happy with how this requirement is progressing and how it alters how I'm thinking about my kung fu.
