IHC Numbers - August

August was one of my worst months numbers-wise, my wisdom tooth surgery had me put a pause an almost all of my physical training for about 2 weeks for fear of dislodging my blood clot, thus making the entire healing take even longer, so I wanted to play it safe. However I really dropped the ball on my mental requirements too. I could have been blogging the whole time, I could have been catching up on some of my personal requirements that I made specifically for time when I can't be training how I want to. I also could have been doing more to prepare, trying to bank some of my numbers so that I had a bit to fall back on. This has given me insights for the next time something like this happens, but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't disappointed in myself.

With starting my new job I feel quite pressed for time (and energy), so I want to really focus on my forms for September (and onwards) because I feel this is one of my requirements that has been neglected the most.

I also tried to change my approach to the Mastery requirement again and I think I finally found something that's going to work! I recorded myself reading the whole poem and I listen to it and try to recite it aloud in my car on my drive into work. I'm making good progress on it, but I'm also going to keep up doing my training reflections one sentence at a time because I feel like it is still very valuable to put the meanings behind each line into the context of how I am training week by week, and the sections of the poem that I have already done this for come much easier when I am reciting them than those I have not written for yet so that is very useful too!
